CLINIQUE - ALL ABOUT SHADOW, BLACK HONEY

Until a few weeks ago I'd not heard much about Clinique eyeshadows, then this popped up on a VDM video and one of their shades quickly made its way to the top of my wishlist. The next time I was in town I made a beeline for the Clinique counter and this perfect Autumn shade found its way into my collection.

Clinique's All about shadow in Black Honey is a green eyed girls best friend. Its a soft, highly pigmented, brown with a subtle hint of red. On the eyes this looks very similar to Bourjois' cream eyeshadow in Prune Nocturne however when side by side Prune Nocturne has a strong purple undertone while Black Honey sticks to being more of Maroon shade (after too much searching online, Maroon, Burgunday and Oxblood eyeshadows are all starting to look the same).  Washed all over the lid this creates a look that's great both day and night, a problem I had with MAC's Cranberry as its straight up berry tones are a bit too much for me during the day.

At £16 its a tad pricer than a MAC eyeshadow but with the higher price you get just under a gram worth of more product. From time to time Debenhams offer a 10% discount (like they are now), so even more of an excuse to go out and get it.

Any recommendations for Clinique eyeshadows? So far, I'm smitten.
