BOURJOIS - COLOR EDITION 24H, PRUNE NOCTURNE

Bourjois have recently jumped on the cream eyeshadow bandwagon and released their own version, a cream to powder formula with a twenty four hour wear claim. Being a fan of cream eyeshadows I quickly picked one up, only to be left a little disappointed.

The problem I have with this is its formula, it creases almost instantly - not even touching on its 24 hour wear claim. If you want to layer these up to get a more intense colour, forget about it! Once you've left it to set the colour appears faded and it looks like its been worn for hours instead of a couple of minutes. Not all hope is lost though, with a little help from some primer and a light hand this purple, reddy brown eyeshdow makes a beautiful subtle smoky eye that is perfect for Autumn.

Even though I don't love this eyeshadow I love the colour, it really makes my green eyes stand out. I've recently added similar shades to my collection - MAC's Cranberry and Clinique's Black Honey (review coming soon) and so far, so good.

What are your favourite eyeshadows for Autumn?

  2. Stunning colour, you eyes look beautiful, shame it creases, pretty much every cream eyeshadow creases on my but I use the Nars eye primer which is amazing, my eyeshadow last all day long!

  5. That color is amazing :3 The creasing does not worry me, I always use a primer first so I guess it would work with this creamshadow as well. New follower ^,^

  8. This is gorgeous on you, it really makes green eyes pop! It's too bad that it creases easily though.

  9. This definitely makes your eyes pop! So gorgeous! I swatched these in Boots and had my doubts about the consistency so I'm glad I didn't pick any up.
